2012 Spring ToursThis spring, the Pine Hill Preserve staff will offer four guided tours in different areas of the Preserve. The tours are free and open to the public; they will be limited to 25 participants per tour. Led by naturalists, each tour will focus primarily on the plants growing within the chaparral and oak woodland ecosystems of the Pine Hill Preserve but will also include information about wildlife and geology. A bird tour will also be scheduled during April, but the date for this tour is yet to be determined. All participants are encouraged to read information regarding Public Conduct on Preserve Land prior to visiting the Preserve. |
WHEN: |
With the exception of the bird tour, all tours will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude by 1:00 p.m. The bird tour will begin at 7:00 a.m. and end by noon.

WHERE: |
Tour locations are indicated with the dates above. Field trip participants will meet at designated areas and car pool to the site; Pine Hill Preserve staff will notify participants via email one week in advance regarding the meeting location and/or potential changes in the schedule. |

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING: |
Sturdy shoes, a hat, water, a lunch or snacks, sunscreen, and insect repellant. |
